Creative societies for health & wellbeing

This day-long event held in the City of Bath focuses upon different issues connected with the role creative, social activities play in fostering and preserving health and wellbeing. The purpose of the day is to look at fundamental aspects of creative activities in individual and social groupings and how these activities influence peoples' health and well-being. This will be considered from different social, technical, organisational and practitioner perspectives. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of current activities, current issues and challenges and identify opportunities for achieving greater impact through research, development and application. The day will comprise a programme of invited speakers from different discipline backgrounds giving presentations about their research and work in this area. The day is of interest to researchers and professionals and practitioners from social, health and welfare services, policy-makers. The programme will include time for discussions, panel sessions and networking.
